Pipistrelle Barn Reviews

Jessica
A lovely cottage, amazingly clean. It had everything you could need, we were very comfortable. We'd definitely stay again, maybe in the summer to enjoy the outside.
Joseph
A lovely place, with everything we needed and more provided. The location is beautiful but a bit of a drive to most anywhere you'd want to visit but not a problem if you don't mind the travel (which really is very nice given you're in the peak district). Owners were great in terms of communication and even left chocolates, biscuits and wine ready for our arrival. A real treat and we had a wonderful time. Thank you.
John
Pet friendly claim confirmed when a welcome pack includes dog biscuits, a first for me. Warm quiet and comfortable, a sympathetic and well carried out conversion. With friendly hosts.
Richard
Fantastic cottage in a great location for walks in and around the Peak District. Terry and Nicole were super hosts who made us feel very welcome. Cottage was extremely clean and very comfortable and somewhere I will definitely stay again.
Kevin
This was the perfect retreat for us. The property itself is modern and comfortable, and equipped with everything you could need. On the off chance that it is lacking, the host is on hand to help with anything (including advice on places to visit and eat). Happily situated for exploring the surrounding Derbyshire countryside whether by car or foot, as well as having its own local pub, we enjoyed a fabulous three nights at the wonderfully-converted barn.
Susan
The cottage was perfect for our needs. Well furnished and equipped, exceptionally clean and in a lovely village.
Mark
What can I say, our second stay and everything was as good as the first. The cottage was lovely, clean & comfortable and Terry was very welcoming as always. lovely walks from the door for our Cocker Bailey and a very dog friendly pub at the end of the lane (The Red Lion). Itâ??s so peaceful and quiet we would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again son.
Pauline
A fantastic stay in this beautiful cottage. Everything was perfect, location, cleanliness, decor and equipment. The owner, Terry was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back.
James
Superb accommodation in a great location to explore Derbyshire. Very peaceful but close to all the amenities in Ashbourneâ??s few miles away, and a local pub a few minutes walk away. Terry was very welcoming and helpful. We a brilliant two weeks here and would definitely recommend staying at Pipistrelle barn.

A beautiful, well equipped hideaway! Pipistrelle Barn has everything you need for a week away. It is superbly fitted out, immaculately clean and comfortable. Terry, the owner, was really friendly and had left a welcome bottle of Prosecco and mince pies. I cannot fault it.
Fazia
I would 100% recommend this cottage. Perfect for a couple and itâ??s dog friendly. Great location, super quiet and peaceful and has everything you need for a relaxing stay!!
Mark
Pipistrelle Barn was everything we expected and more, fine furnishings throughout and was always lovely and warmâ?¦too warm until we tweaked the thermostat. Just a short walk along the very quiet lane to a nice homely pub the Red Lion and not far from the main towns for our days out. If you have a dog there is a footpath at rear of property over open field or just stroll along the lane where you rarely came across traffic. Would definitely recommend and wonâ??t hesitate to book again.
Stephen
Superb accommodation in a perfect location to explore the peaks. So relaxing and peaceful but close enough to Ashbourne for all amenities. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.
Michelle
The cottage was fantastic, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The barn has been converted to a high standard. the owner was very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely revisit.
Debra
Excellent cottage in perfect position. Would certainly recommend.
Alan
Perfect accommodation for a couple with a small dog, everything you would require to make your stay comfortable was supplied, from kitchen utensils to a nearby field for the dog to run in. The accommodation was in pristine condition with a modern feel to all the furniture and fittings, very comfortable and ideally located with a nearby pub that serves good food and selection of beers.
Gael

Mary
Very nice cottage. Well appointed and owner very friendly and helpful
Beth
A well appointed cottage with lots of extra touches ( a box of dog biscuits ) Warm, comfortable and welcoming. The location was perfect with a good footpath past the door for dog walking . We really enjoyed our stay
Jane
This is a gem of a property. The decor and quality is fabulous and the location ideal for visiting so many of the beautiful places in Derbyshire. The owner is warm, friendly and welcoming and was quick to sort the problem of the sticking entrance door due to the recent wet weather. We would not hesitate to recommend this property and are already looking to when we can return - hopefully when the weather has been a little drier!
Lindsey
A lovely cosy cottage in a quiet area, good quality furniture and furnishings, every kitchen appliance I needed, lots of Christmas decorations up which was a nice touch as were the bottle of champagne and box of shortbread. The wifi was excellent but note that there's normally no phone signal in the cottage - a short walk up the path from the cottage is apparently OK. The friendly host came and welcomed me and was nearby in case of need. Would definitely stay here again.
