The Old Weighbridge Reviews

The cottage is lovely, cozy with nice decor and supplies. It's well maintained and looked after and in a brilliant spot to access the rest of Bakewell. It has everything you need for a short stay for one person or a couple looking to escape. Loved it very much.
Sarah
Really great cottage. Small and perfectly formed. Can't wait to visit again. Thanks.
Mark
Although small it was more than adequate for our time away. What more do you need. We enjoyed its charm and perfect location to explore the Peaks. Thanks so much; we will return.
Ruth
For such a small property it is well laid out, clean and comfortable.
Martin

Gordon
I have stayed at this property two times before, and I choose it because it is small and compact, ideal for my purposes
George
Very small with limited cooking facilities. But really cosy in the winter. And the walk to and from the thornbridge tap house was straightforward!!
Tim
Compact, cosy would recommend for a short weekend break in an idyllic location
Mark
Great little cottage and perfect for a long weekend. Easy access to Bakewell, the Thornbridge Tap and a short drive to Chatsworth House.
Angela
Good location Adequate size and all I needed
Jo
This is a compact yet well equipped and positioned, holiday venue. Lots of great walks shops, eateries and pubs in walking distance. Great relaxing break with a steam train nearby
Luke
A small, cosy cottage, full of character, that is only a short five-minute walk from Bakewell. Very well equipped despite its small size with a mini kitchenette and shower room. The host had even left some milk, butter, bread and cereals for a first day breakfast which was very kind. Great location (near multiple pubs and a co-op) and one on-site parking space. The property is next to the Monsal Trail station car park so you get a reasonable amount of footfall past the cottage during the day. If you have the blinds open people will be looking in but we didnâ??t mind that too much! The bed pulls out from the sofa so not the most comfortable thing in the world but does the job and helps to keep the room nice and open during the day. Reasonably clean but the rugs could do with a bit of a wash! Ideal for a couple or solo traveller for a short stay. We were really pleased with our stay and thought the cottage was very charming, ideally located and good value for money.
John
