It sits in the village of Tideswell near Buxton with pubs, a restaurant, cafes and shops all within walking distance. The wood burner in the lounge makes evenings genuinely cosy after a day on the hills.
Tideswell is surrounded by walking routes in every direction. Peaks to the north, gentle dales to the south and Millers Dale just 4 miles away. The village hosts a popular Food Festival every May with local suppliers, stalls and cookery demonstrations. Mam Tor and Castleton are both within 11 miles.

Haddon Hall, the Monsal Trail, Mam Tor and Buxton are all within easy reach. Guests specifically recommend Haddon Hall on wet days. The Monsal Trail is a brilliant day out for walkers and cyclists.
Cowslip Cottage Tideswell suits couples and small families who want a proper Peak District base. Village amenities on the doorstep and excellent walking straight from the door make this a practical and comfortable choice.
