The village sits close to the River Derwent with footpaths leading to Baslow Edge. From there you get commanding views of the Derwent Valley. Bakewell market town is a 10-minute drive away. A bench at the front of the cottage provides a lovely spot for watching village life.

The spacious king-size main bedroom extends into the eaves on the top floor with an en-suite bathroom and Velux window offering glimpses of Chatsworth Park. The first floor has a double bedroom and a single bedroom. A family bathroom with bath and electric shower serves the first floor.
Chatsworth House parklands are reachable by a short walk across a bridge. Bakewell (3 miles, 10 minutes) offers shops and markets. Haddon Hall (4 miles, 12 minutes) and Eyam Museum (6 miles, 15 minutes) are nearby.
