Church View Taddington Reviews

Peter
Church cottage is a wonderfully characterful place, very cosy and extremely well equipped for two people, it's in a beautiful area with the lovely town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House only a short drive away, there is also a great pub serving lovely food in easy walking distance. We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to return, if we were re-visiting the area.
Alan
We enjoyed staying at Church View Cottage - it was both cosy and comfortable and the owners was very welcoming and could not do enough to make your stay special - we arrived as guests and came away as friends.
Chris
Church View is a very spacious cottage with every possible need catered for. The sofa and king-size bed were extremely comfortable with lovely linen and towels and large bathroom. Ample private parking with easy access to the Derbyshire Dales and greater Peak District. The local village pub is only a few minutes walk away and serves reasonable 'pub grub' but there are much better eateries only a few miles away e.g. Ashford Arms. Bakewell is a pleasant little town with plenty of shops and places to eat and a lovely walk along the river banks. The Peak Village in Rowsley is well worth a visit too. Joy and John are very welcoming and friendly and on-hand if needed.
Kevin
Home from home is probably over used but Church View Cottage is that plus the added bonus of being in a delightful area of peace and quiet. Its in the right area for visiting Derbyshire and its surrounding counties. It cannot be faulted in anyway. Like any place the question is would we come back? Absolutely!
Andrea
A charming one bedroomed cottage in a rural setting, very well equipped and homely. Friendly hosts and a warm welcome, perfect for exploring the area or visiting friends and family.

John
This is a spacious, cosy and comfortable cottage suitable for a couple. Joy and John are very welcoming, and we really enjoyed our short break here. The "talkative" sheep, and the rabbits in the field out the back, were an added bonus.
Tony

This cottage was fantastic with everything you could want for a lovely stay in Derbyshire. The owners were really helpful and friendly. The location was great with a bus to Buxton and Bakewell
Sue
A lovely, well equipped cottage in the heart of the Peaks. close to Bakewell which is well worth visiting , make sure you visit the Original Pudding Shop and indulge. The cottage has all that you will need for a very comfy stay and the outside terrace overlooks the sheep who are very friendly and chatty. Ashford-in-the-water is a must see and only minutes down the road and the Ashford Arms for a meal is also a must.
Christine
We were overwhelmed by the cottage. On first entering we were surprised at how spacious it was. It was excellently furnished and a great deal of thought had gone into equipping the cottage. There was everything we could have wanted - and more! Even a teapot! The location was peaceful and the hosts friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our holiday memorable and enjoyable!
Sophia
This property is exceptionally well-presented, clean, classy and comfortable and set in a peaceful countryside location. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and at ease. After travelling over several years to cottages and farmstays in England, we rate this cottage among the very best of them.
Delphine
We had a wonderful stay at the church view cottage in Taddington. The landlords are really nice people and the cottage was peaceful, with quiet neighbors, including the sheeps in the field close to there. We spend xmas at the cottage and J. nicely had made the cottage christmassy. We had everything we needed there in a not that small space, it's actually well enough for a couple of people. The bathroom is just great, the bed very comfortable, everything was just beautiful, cozy, convenient. We'd deffo stay there again. The area is amazing and Derby, Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield and Chesterfield are quite close ! A lot of good walks to do in the area, the moors are super beautiful to see and there are a lot of great landmarks in the area. Go ahead and book, you won't be disappointed.
