The Old School Room Reviews

Alexandra
This is a lovely property and great location for couples. I wouldn't recommend it for those with young infants as you struggle to get it dark enough for their naps and due to the open plan nature of the property you can't separate out noise. But otherwise a great location, easy parking and clean.
Susan
The School Room was very spacious and comfortable.
Peter
This property was ideal for the two of us for our trip.
Philip
Brilliant location, the photos do not do it justice.
Alison
Lovely cottage. Very well presented and equipped. Location is convenient for exploring the area.
Nancy
The accommodation was excellent and of very good quality. It was very well stocked and very clean. We are planning to book this again.
Linda
A good property but could do with a couple of extra kitchen items. Lovely that kitchen had washing liquid etc. available. Would stay again. Great location to Chatsworth and Heights of Abraham.
Margaret
A lovely, clean and comfortable cottage. We stayed for 4 weeks over Christmas and New Year as we have family living in the area. It was a terrific base for all that is to be seen in the local area. The cottage is very well kitted out - even though we weren't doing a lot of cooking, the kitchen has everything you might need. Thoroughly recommend this as a base for a visit to the Peak District
Tina
A comfortable cottage in a good location. Clean, spacious and warm. Well equipped. An ideal base to explore the local countryside from.
Hayley
Lovely cottage with everything you could need. parking for 2 vehicles. Close by to see all the local attractions including Matlock and chatsworth House.
Beverley
Loved the location and accommodation was really lovely.
Tina
A beautiful, well appointed cottage. Clean and well equipped.
Sandra
Very nice property, original features throughout. Location ideal for some good walks and a visit to Chatsworth and Abraham Heights would be recommended.
P
An attractive property maintained to a high standard. The location is quiet but within relatively short distance of many attractions. Although lacking in a garden the front of the property provides opportunities to interact with the other residents. Very well equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle + saucepans, cutlery & crockery.. Bedroom on mezzanine level accessed via staircase off lounge. Comfortable bed with nearby wardrobe and bathroom.
Janet
Wish I could have stayed for a month. Peaceful and relaxing. Central for all our favourite places.
Kenneth
The Old School Room is an imaginatively converted former school. The property has all the modern facilities and is a well positioned retreat in a beautiful part of the country. We particularly liked the great Wi-Fi and TV, incredibly efficient heating and the overall spacious stylish interior with as George Clarke would say â??â??the original fireplace providing a nostalgic nod to its days as a classroomâ??â??
Mark
Booking the property through the agent was made very easy. The property and facilities were terrific with some lovely personal touches by the owner which made it a great place to stay. Some great walks around the area, The Roaches was our favourite.
Pauline
Lovely break as usual. Perhaps a coffee table in the sitting room would be a good idea. Only one grouse, the NOISE from the Air Conditioner was much to loud.
Christine
Excellent cottage, clean and well equipped..however the constant humming at night was quite disturbing, not sure if it was a generator or other machinery!! Difficult to sleep due to the drone. TV reception was also poor with only few channels to view, not sure if this is a regular occurrence or not. [This has been addressed.]
Julie
Lovely cottage everything was provided , even had umbrellas to use ,everything looked brand new. Lovely and clean, nice and comfortable. Only thing they had a bath and I did not think water was hot enough, but shower was lovely, though it was over the bath so could be difficult for a lot of people. Other than that we enjoyed our stay Thank you
