Fiona
Cara is a comfortable cottage in a great location. Well equipped and in the perfect spot for exploring the Peak District. It gave us the ideal base for our week outside Chesterfield.
Elizabeth
Comfortable home from home
Gavin
A perfect little cottage. Set on a working dairy farm in a fairly quiet location, you get some farm sounds and smells but they do not spoil the stay. Beautiful view across the valley from the lounge, bedroom and small patio area. The chickens come and visit at least twice a day :-). Absolutely no complaints about the cottage, location or facilities here. A great base for a walking holiday in the peaks, plenty of interesting walks from the cottage and such a huge area to explore with a short drive.
Christopher
Our stay was first class and if we could give Deborah and John a 10 star plus then we would. We had a power cut one evening and John kept us informed about when it was expected to be back on also John loaned us a portable gas stove to allow us to have a hot drink. The property is well equipped with the small essentials like toilet rolls paper towel coat hangers dishwasher tablets and the like.
Colleen
A lovely well equipped cottage in a beautiful setting. Very thoughtful and considerate host.
Michele

Lovely cat, chickens, cows. Milk, tea bags, cookies and wine were a very good welcome pack. The location is ideal for visiting Bakewell, Chatsworth etc. And the view was wonderful.

We had a very lovely week in Cara cottage. The cottage was well equipped, everything we needed was there. John, the host, welcomed us and gave us tips about the environment. For example what is the best time to visit Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. We liked the welcome package, very useful.

Cara is an excellent cottage - very comfortable, well thought out accommodation with a delightful view from the patio. The owners were most helpful. The location is well suited to touring the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire attractions whether that be the natural beauty of the dales or the numerous historic stately homes and their formal gardens. We had a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable holiday!

Charming comfortable cottage with spectacular views over the Dales. Very well equipped and spacious. Well located for Bakewell, Matlock and other tourist spots. Peaceful location.
Valerie
The cottage is on a working farm so expect tractors trundling past the front door. But the view from the lounge is lovely and I find the whole experience delightful.
