Hefford House Reviews

Timothy
A lovely cottage situated in a beautiful village, near to Matlock,Bakewell. Lots to see and great walks from the village. Robin Hoods Stride circular walk was lovely. Great shower, reading nook and fire place. A few yards from the village shop. Just a warning there are 2x sets of steep stairs and might not be suitable for anyone with a disability. Overall a great place to stay for us and our kids.
Carol
Lovely cottage in a beatiful historic village . The village shop was excellent and the walking tracks well signed.Good pub at the top of the steep village .Any visitor with fitness issues would find the steep stairs a challenge. The shower was quite slippery and would benefit from some slip prevention pads.
Lucy
Lovely location in a great village with 2 good pubs.
Philippa
Lovely comfortable cottage, great location
Tim
A quirky cottage in the heart of Winster. Some nice touches and a cracking shower but if youâ??re over 5ft be prepared to duck down here and there - we actually liked that it was different and had some character so donâ??t let this put you off but just thought Iâ??d mention it. There are two pubs (the closest is open Thu-Sun, the other one every day). There are lots of lovey walks from your door but be prepared to walk up hills .. staying here requires you to be active to get the most out of the area unless you drive. All in all Iâ??d say not the most luxurious place weâ??ve stayed but great value and in a cracking locationâ?? Iâ??d definitely recommend it but take plenty of wood as the cost log burner encourages you to relax in front of it a lot more than you think you will !
Terry
