The location of the cottage is exceptional ,obviously the name Topshill says it all, but the views and local wildlife are beautiful.If you want to see kites playing in the sky every day and get a great evening to sit out and look at dark skies at night , this is the place. The cottage met all our needs & more. Although the weather was a little unkind we found Topshill Cottage to be warm & cosy - we didn't even make use of the wood burner.

Within the cottage, every detail has been thought of and provided and these touches make your stay feel very relaxed from the moment you set foot in the cottage. The first thing that greeted us when we arrived at the Cottage was a wonderful view over the Rolling countryside. The Cottage was beyond our expectations. It is warm comfortable and every sink you could wish for right down to the last detail. The owners have gone the extra mile. We have been to the peak district several times, but this is the best by far highly recommended. A wonderful cottage in a superb location with stunning views north over the Ecclesbourne Valley. Very comfortable and well equipped, a real home from home. Also a lovely welcome from the owners who live next door, always there to sort out any problems - not that there were any - and willing to give advice on visiting local attractions. The owners were so helpful and were always at the end of the phone with recommendations to ensure we had the best stay! The fireplace was such a lovely addition and made it really cosy in the evenings. We loved exploring the local footpaths and also went further afield in to the Peak District for some gorgeous walks. We couldn't recommend this property more!
