Springbank Reviews

Angela
We had a wonderful five night stay at Springbank Cottage. From the very moment we arrived, it was warm, welcoming and very comfortable. The view is spectacular and the house is spacious and allows the whole family to relax. The location is great and there are walks straight from the door, as well as a short car drive. Probably one of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. Weâ??d love to come back and use the outside space at a different time of the year.
Victoria
The house is absolutely gorgeous! It has everything in you would need and the little touches there are lovely (my two boys loved the jam-thank you). The kitchen is huge with so much space and love the island in the middle. The utility room is excellent. Lovely big dining room and lounge so comfortable. The bedrooms are huge and beds really comfortable. Bathrooms also excellentâ?¦loved the bath. There is actually nothing about the house I could fault. The seating area is higher up and gives lovely views and again very comfortable. Parking on the drive is on a steep high incline but I didnâ??t have any problems with it all and very easy once used to it. My dad parked on the road. The only down side for my parents is the incline getting to the house from the road but thatâ??s only because my mum struggles due to age. A pub is open Thursday to Sunday and within walking distance, which is ran by a very friendly man. Would definitely return as it is such a nice house with lovely views.
Lindsay
Lovely cottage, very welcoming, warm and very clean - everything we needed.
Marc
This beautiful and well-kept cottage is larger than the photos imply. We loved the massive kitchen space, well stocked with very large double oven/ 7 hob stove and all the cookware you could wish for and a separate dining room with lovely big table. The living room was enormous too with very comfy 3 person sofas and a cosy log burner which would be perfect in those colder months. The views from the house are lovely overlooking the valley and there are hill walks everywhere you look. Cottage has multiple guides and maps. Couldnâ??t ask for a better stay. Just make sure your vehicle has a good handbrake because the drive is on a slope. Would defo come again
Andrew
Very solid, well located, well equipped, comfortable cottage, with 2 lovely outdoor seating areas
Edward
Springbank is a beautiful spacious cottage. Very clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of amenities provided. Very comfortable for 5 adults. The Cottage would be great for large families or groups. Will definitely stay here again for family trip. The drive is steep, however, you do get the knack of it after a couple times parking. The owner was lovely and very quick answering a question before arrival.
Allison

Antony
We had a really lovely stay at Springbank Cottage. It is well-situated for exploring the Peak District, and the shops nearby at Matlock made it convenient too. The cottage is spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable. We all enjoyed having barbecues on the terrace, with views along and across the valley. There are lots of walks nearby, and the nearby town of Bakewell has some great restaurants.
Anita
A spacious, comfortable and well situated cottage which has everything one could need.
Janine
