The Windmill Granary Reviews

Christopher
Lovely cottage,we stayed in winter unfortunately the heating was inadequate downstairs. Take your own fan heater/s for the lounge diner in winter. Owner provided a convector heater which made a huge difference.
Glen
Beautiful little cottage in a peaceful scenic location. Thoughtful touches throughout and lovely welcome gifts. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

What a fantastic cottage in a fantastic location. The owners have thought of absolutely everything, from wonderfully comfortable beds, to a very well equipped kitchen to board games, lovely art work and complimentary drinks and snacks. We canâ??t wait to come back to explore more of the Peak District and cannot recommend The Windmill Granary highly enough. Book it - you wonâ??t regret it!

We had a wonderful stay here. On arrival there were wine and chocolates which was a lovely touch. The property is beautifully decorated throughout, comfortable and everything thought of including outside BBQ and wood burner. Beautiful views and located ideally for exploring the Peak District. Lovely welcoming owners.
Linzi
The 2 single bedrooms were perfect for our 4 and 7 year olds, and thereâ??s lots of space outside for them to run around. The owners are very helpful and approachable. The space is decorated beautifully and was very clean. As the kitchen is compact, you couldnâ??t cook a big meal or a sit down dinner but worked just great for oven cooked pizza for dinner and toast and boiled eggs in the morning! We really enjoyed our stay.
Vanessa
Lovely quiet location with everything we needed for a weeks stay. Very central to get to tourist spots. Lisa and Paul were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. There is a birds nest (wrens) in the small tree just outside the door, they like to be fed seeds. Lovely to watch
Jemima
Three of us had a great girls' weekend at The Windmill Gallery, which we used as a base for some cycling and hiking. The compact, quaint cottage has such beautiful countryside to enjoy on the doorstep. The cottage is well equipped, tastefully decorated, spotless and has very accommodating owners. The chocolates, wine, biscuits and milk were lovely touches upon arrival. It was a perfect venue for us and we will be using it again for sure.
