
Haven Shepherds Hut is a hand-built, quirky wooden shepherd's hut on the edge of the Peak District near Ashover in Derbyshire. Constructed using recycled and upcycled materials, it sits in a secluded spot surrounded by gently rolling hills and unspoilt countryside. It sleeps two and is ideal for solo travellers or couples. Note: this property does not have a hot tub.
The setting is genuinely peaceful. Walks start from the door through quiet fields and woodland trails with chances to spot local wildlife. Evenings are spent around the fire pit overlooking an ancient duck pond with striking standing stones.

Inside is a bright rustic space with a super-king-size bed dressed in soft linen and a goose feather duvet. The separate bathroom next door has a rainhead shower and WC. The outdoor kitchen includes a wood-fired pizza oven, gas BBQ, microwave, fridge/freezer and sink.
Matlock and Matlock Bath are 5 miles away. Chatsworth House is 10 miles. Cromford UNESCO World Heritage Site is 8 miles. Ogston Reservoir is 6 miles for birdwatching.
