We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Peebs Palace. The cottage was very warm and welcoming. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. The views from the bedroom were amazing. The bed was very comfortable. It was very well positioned for visiting the Peaks. We particularly enjoyed visiting Lyme Park for amazing walks with our dogs.

The cottage is small but adequate for two people and two small to medium dogs. The area provided as a garden is very small for dogs but then if you go out every day this isn't a problem. It's easy to walk into New Mills from the cottage and we also walked to Mellor for the excellent Oddfellows Arms where dogs are very welcome. The cottage is quite clean and equipment is basic. We enjoyed our stay overall.

This is a lovely peaceful, relaxing cottage with glorious views. However the outdoor area is very small especially in view of accepting 3 dogs and there was very limited information in the cottage folder. Some basic kitchen equipment was missing - a bread knife and a colander - though Lorraine very kindly went and bought a cafetière for us. It is well placed for visiting a number of National trust places and the Sicilian restaurant - A Tavola -in New Mills is a must to visit.

The house was spotless and they provided everything we needed and some extras beside. We loved seeing young Edward and Arthur out and about playing and helping in the chores.
