This cottage has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We loved the rugs provided in the bedrooms and lounge for extra comfort if needed - though we found it very comfortable indeed. It is probably the best equipped cottage we've ever stayed in - and there have been many. We also enjoyed the tasteful pictures, ceramics and light fittings, giving it a feeling of luxury. The games room was also a big hit. The extra luxury of a heated towel rail was great.

I loved this cottage - the location is lovely, its quiet and has views, but its close enough to get around the Peak District - The house is very well done up, and the bedrooms and bathroom in particular are top hotel quality (and beds were very comfortable) plus the kitchen is very well stocked for cooking. As you will see from our ratings, we were delighted with this cottage but please see the following suggestions to improve it further. We noticed that the rug under the dining table was curling at the corners which could have been a trip hazard and we suggest that this is replaced in keeping with the high standard of the other furnishings. We would have appreciated a toast rack and noticed that this was mentioned in the visitor's bookas well. Otherwise it was very well equipped.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a very comfortable cottage in a great location for exploring the southern Peak District. All 3 bedrooms were equally impressive and each with a great bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the outside space was lovely for sitting out and for the dog to explore. A hosepipe for the outside tap would be the icing on the cake as our dog had a great time but was constantly muddy! Also please can you resolve check out time as the cleaner turned up at 9:30 when we were told 10:00am check out. However, this is a great property to stay in.

Major towns , walking trails were all within easy reach with a car .Aldwark was a relatively remote hamlet which was perfect for 4 chums & a dog Would highly recommend Springfield to friends .
