The converted barn croft has a sweet cottage feel. We enjoyed having sheep, cows and goats as neighbors. Joy and John were absolutely lovely. Kitchen is completely functional for cooking, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom very large. Taddington is a very quiet village with a single pub with terrific food, and it is easy to get to nearby towns and villages. Hikes abound as do gorgeous vistas. Highly recommend this stay.

This is the perfect place to get away from it all. There is everything you could need in a comfortable and charming cottage. The hosts, John and Joy, are perfect - friendly and helpful - just great. Location is ideal for seeing the Derbyshire Dales and the nearby pubs The Queens Head and the Church Inn were friendly and served wonderful meals. Would fully recommend.

A lovely, comfortable cottage on a farm with everything you could need. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we loved their sheep! Great location in a quiet village, but only a few minutes from the main A6 road and hence it's easy to get to plenty of places to see in the Peak District. There's a pub in the village that does good food and in nearby Tideswell (10 mins by car), there are several eating options there.
