Beau Cottage Reviews

Jo
lovely warm cottage. Plenty of hot water. comfortable beds. Welcome wine and crisps and biscuits
Anne-Marie
Beau Cottage is a comfortable, value for money option for staying in the Peak District. It's position next to a fairly busy road isn't really a problem, the cottage is well equipped and comes with a large bed, perfect if your husband is over 6ft!
Vikki
A well equipped and lovely cottage.
Trevor
The welcome pack was greatly appreciated!
Coral
Beautiful location. Central to everything we wanted to see.
Lindsey
A lovely, cosy cottage that is tastefully decorated and well-equipped. Attractive personal touches and a super welcome tray. Great shower. Gorgeous views. There is some road noise on the morning, especially if you like to sleep with windows open. Lots to do in the area.
Debbie
Beau cottage was a lovely place to stay at and the welcome pack left by the owners was lovely. The immediate dog walks nearby to the cottage were excellent and the neighbours were friendly. They were able to tell us about the local area and the cottage was in a great location to visit local attractions.
Phillip
Cosy, very big bed. Road can be busy at times.
Alison
A perfect stay at Beau Cottage. Itâ??s incredibly well equipped for a comfortable stay. The welcome hamper was a nice touch which we appreciated to settle in. The dog loved the paddock at the back of the property for a runabout. Bed was super comfy and a spacious bedroom. We loved exploring the area - Crich has a good selection of eateries and we enjoyed a well earned drink after a couple of long walks at the village pub. Walking from the doorstep and lots of places slightly further afield to explore - whatâ??s not to like.
Mandy
Beau Cottage is a pretty cottage albeit on a busy stretch of road (although not all the time). It is perfectly located for getting around the Peak District and Dales. Great that there was enough parking for at least two cars and the addition of the filed at the back for the our dogs. Very well equipped as well.
Andrew
We stayed as a couple with our little lurcher and enjoyed the cottage very much. The views are lovely - look out of the window and see sheep grazing across just across the road! - and geographically the location is good, with some local amenities in Crich just round the corner (and of course the Tramway museum, definitely worth visiting), and supermarkets etc a short drive away in Alfreston. Lovely countryside and plenty of places to go walking and visiting. Nice enclosed space behind the cottage for the dog to run, and very comfy furniture - nice sofas and big beds. Being right on the road did mean traffic noise was noticeable, but fortunately it's not too busy most of the time. Kitchen facilities all very good except the fridge, which is very small. Good shower, but very slippery shower tray!
Mary Margaret
A lovely cottage very comfortable beds, needs more security for dogs that like to escape
Sandra
Some improvements could be made on cleanliness e.g., the oven grill pan and cobwebs. Overall we had a pleasant stay and the beds were very comfy. The welcome tray was really thoughtful and appreciated!
Andrea
A wonderful cosy cottage in a great location. We enjoyed a lovely week long break with our dogs. The paddock out the back was brilliant for some off lead time whilst we enjoyed a glass of wine. The owner fixed an issue with the broadband straight away and was very helpful. The property is on a main road but this is not a problem with noise. Short 15 minute walk to local pub, butcher and bakery in local village
Geoff
Beau Cottage is well equipped and was warm and cosy for our stay. It is very close to Crich, which has a great pub, shops, and a superb bakery (â??Loafâ?). Very easy to travel to the major attractions in the Peak District. Would stay in this cottage again.
Nicholas
Very clean and functional, would book again. Love internet
Dean
Very comfortable cottage with all that you need. Ideally located.
Andrew
Stayed over the Christmas week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of places to visit with some nice walks (although quite hilly) right on the doorstep. Cottage was sparsely but tastefully decorated and with the log fire roaring made for a lovely atmosphere. It was nice to have a little paddock to exercise the dogs although they do need to be on their leads. Managed to cook a full Christmas dinner with the equipment provided so very good on that score. There were a few small parts that needed a bit of attention to detail but that didn't detract from us having a lovely time. Good WIFI and Netflix for bad weather days, there is a well stocked shop in the village so you do not have to venture far if you don't need to. All in all a very pleasant stay in a quaint little cottage.
Joanna
The cottage is lovely and so cosy a real Home from Home
Sara
Will probably visit this cottage again. It's very nice. Crich is lovely. Near to lots of great dog walks. Field at back very handy.

Very homely cottage, very clean comfortable and warm, great location
Lisa
Beautiful cottage, paddock was great our dog loved it. About a 20 mins walk along the back road turn left out of cottage there is a foot path in front of a farm that will take you through a grave yard to village. Great pub that does meals.
Mark
Cosy little cottage, equipped with what you need to cook your meals. Good location if you enjoy walking, lots of walks nearby that are dog friendly
Brian
This cottage is in a beautiful quiet location and we found it to be very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The cottage does have an open staircase and one bathroom. There is ample parking for 2 vehicles with a grassed garden with a fold up patio set. The cottage is in easy reach of Crich where there is a nice fish & chip shop. You will find a large Tesco Extra in Alfreton and Matlock Garden Centre has a lovely coffee shop. Matlock has many independent shops and some spectacular views and 30 minutes away from the Treble Bob on Junction 30 of the M1.
Jasbir

Andrew
A peaceful getaway location away from the crowds. Lovely cottage and the owner dropped in to check if all was ok. Not far from Crich village with a local café, pub, shop and butchers. Not forgetting the Indian restaurant!
Tina
Itâ??s a lovely warm cottage, the bedrooms are very nice and comfortable. It was lovely to see a Christmas tree as I was told it wouldnâ??t be decorated so was very happy to see a tree.
