3 School Cottage is a well-appointed two-bedroom cottage in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, sitting on the edge of the countryside with stunning views over Black Rocks from large picture windows. Part of a small collection of cottages managed by Kate since 2021, it sleeps up to six people and is within walking distance of Wirksworth town centre.
Wirksworth is a proper working market town with independent coffee shops, eateries, shops and an art house cinema. The surrounding area has a vast network of footpaths and quiet cycling lanes. Carsington Water is just four miles away for walking, cycling and water sports.
The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

Downstairs there is a small bedroom with bunk beds and a WC. Upstairs is a double bedroom with a picture window and a shower room. The sofa bed sleeps two extra guests. Parking for one car is included.
Chatsworth House (12 miles), Haddon Hall (12 miles), the National Stone Centre (1.4 miles) and Carsington Water (4 miles) are all within easy reach.
3 School Cottage suits couples and small families who want a comfortable countryside base with great access to the Peak District's best days out.

To reach 3 School Cottage by car, Wirksworth is best approached via the B5023 from the A6 near Matlock. The cottage is on the edge of town with off-road parking for one car on arrival.
The nearest railway station is Matlock, approximately 5 miles away. From Matlock station a taxi or local bus will get you to Wirksworth in around 15 minutes.
