This 1-bedroom shepherd's hut is a beautifully designed glamping retreat at Hilltop Farm in Mellor, near Marple, Derbyshire. It sits in a private wildflower paddock with uninterrupted views of Kinder Scout and the surrounding countryside. It's the only holiday let on the farm so you get complete privacy. Listen out for curlew and lapwing calls in season and keep an eye out for barn owls at dusk.
The location is a walker's paradise. Moorland, woodland, canal and countryside walks start right from the door via a vast network of footpaths and bridleways. Marple Bridge with its pubs, deli and restaurant is within 3 miles.

The hut sleeps 2 in a downstairs king-size bedroom with under-bed storage. There's a handmade kitchen with Belfast sink, oak worktops and a two-ring induction hob. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Outside you get a fire pit, BBQ, summer house and multiple seating areas.
Lyme Park National Trust is 4.5 miles away. Buxton spa town is 15 miles. Chatsworth House is 28 miles via a scenic drive. New Mills with cafes and restaurants is within 3 miles.
