The Smithy is a converted blacksmiths cottage in Ashford-in-the-Water, just a short walk from Bakewell in the Peak District National Park. This cosy retreat sleeps 2 guests and sits beside the River Wye with views across the weir to meadows beyond.

The village offers old marble quarrying heritage. You can walk from the door into the Dark Peak's higher moorlands or explore the limestone dales of the White Peak. The River Wye runs right past the property with ducks and wildlife to watch from the garden.

About The Smithy

Bakewell (2 miles, 5 minutes) has shops and the famous pudding. Chatsworth House sits 4 miles away (10 minutes). Haddon Hall is 2.5 miles (7 minutes). Monsal Trail offers walking and cycling 3 miles away (8 minutes).
